Chris Jericho was reportedly hidden until his entrance in the Royal Rumble in a bus parked outside the Arena. Jericho has not been open of late to returning to the company on a long-term deal as he is not prepare to relinquish control of his outside endeavors.It will be interesting to see if Jericho will work a short term storyline with WWE up until WrestleMania 29.

WWE Attitude legend The Godfather made his surprise return as the 17th Royal Rumble entrant. He was eliminated within seconds by Cody Rhodes.

The bizarre one Goldust made a surprise appearance during the 30-man Royal Rumble match as he entered at number eight.

Shelton Benjamin and Carlito were at the WWE's hotel and expected to be in the Royal Rumble match however, that did not happen and the insider website now reports the duo were just in the same hotel as the WWE talent prior to an indy show. Benjamin has of course recent been released from his ROH contract and some speculate he is in talks with WWE for a return.
